LEAGUE TWO
THE club finishing 23rd in League Two could be given a relegation reprieve this summer – if a National League team with an artificial pitch won promotion and refused to change to a grass pitch.
Artificial surfaces are not currently permitted in the EFL, though the league have said that ‘discussions will continue ahead of the EFL’s AGM in June to determine if there is an appetite for either League wide change or if there is an option to adopt the use of artificial pitches on a divisional basis’.
