PIPE HAS FLYNN’S BACKING ON DEAL

REWARD: David Pipe

NEWPORT County boss Mike Flynn says defender David Pipe has earned his deal after agreeing to stay for another season.
The 34-year old triggered a clause to be rewarded with a further year, having played 35 games this season before the weekend.
“If you deserve it, you get it and if you don’t, you don’t,” Flynn said.
“David has absolutely deserved it.” Pipe’s revival at County has left little space for fellow defender Jazzi Barnum-Bobb, 22, who has been released after failing to make an impression .
