WHAT a chance wasted for Mansfield. One goal up and against ten men, and with Wycombe losing, the Stags had a glorious chance to finally get into the top three.
But, as has been the case too often this season, Mansfield paid the price for their inability to kill teams off and dropped another two points. The old saying goes: “Take your chances when you’re on top.”
It is a lesson that Mansfield need to learn.
Let’s be fair - the chances were there to make this game safe, with Kane Hemmings especially guilty of two poor misses.
