KEVIN van Veen has endured a frustrating start to his Northampton career, but Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is hopeful the striker will be back from injury soon.
Dutchman Van Veen, 26, signed from Scunthorpe in January, suffered a medial ligament injury after taking a kick to the knee during his full debut against AFC Wimbledon.
“Kevin has had a scan and, while there is a small injury, I don’t think it’s anything too big,” said boss Hasselbaink. “Hopefully he will heal quickly.
