JAKE Kean has revealed that the chance to work with Russell Slade convinced him to join Grimsby after agreeing a loan deal through to the end of the season.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has completed a move from Sheffield Wednesday and will help fill the gap in the absence of the injured James McKeown. “I had a good chat with the gaffer”; said Kean. “It sounds like a fantastic setup. There really was nothing negative to come out of the conversation we had.”
