FOREST Green Rovers have dipped back into Non- League to snap up York City full-back Alex Whittle.
The 24-year-old defender will join Mark Cooper’s side tomorrow, following Weston-super-Mare midfielder Dayle Grubb to The New Lawn.
Whittle, who started out at Liverpool and played for Dunfermline, Fylde and Southport before joining York in 2016, says Cooper’s playing style was a big pull.
“They always try to get the ball down and try to play,” he said.
