ADEBAYO Akinfenwa showed a different side this week as he spent Thursday volunteering in a soup kitchen in Brixton.
On the eve of Wycombe’s clash with Coventry, Akinfenwa took time out of his busy schedule to team up with Football Beyond Borders. He helped out at the Brixton Soup Kitchen, delivering blankets and serving food.
The 35-year-old striker explained that he had spoken to Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth about his plans.
And the manager had given his blessing, despite the proximity to the game on Friday evening.
