GILLINGHAM’S Josh Parker is adamant he and his teammates are not in a relegation battle.
The 26-year-old forward was man of the match on Tuesday night in the 2-1 home defeat by Oxford in the Checkatrade Trophy, though the Gills have shone in recent weeks under Steve Lovell.
Initially named as caretaker boss, Lovell has impressed and earned the job on a full-time basis as his side went unbeaten in November.
They came into this weekend still in the drop zone, but looking up rather than over their shoulder, according to Parker.
