EW manager Nigel Adkins paid tribute to Hull City fans as the Tigers faithful roared their side to victory over Brentford in his first game in charge.
The home side went behind through David Meyler’s own goal but showed fight to claw their way back into the game.
Second-half goals from Kamil Grosicki, Seb Larsson and Jackson Irvine gave Adkins a winning start and Hull a first victory in seven.
