JOEL IS BUZZING TO STAY IN TEAM

JOEL Asoro, Sunderland’s youngest-ever Premier League player, is delighted to be spending more time around the first-team this season.
The Swedish striker set up George Honeyman’s goal against Burton a fortnight ago, having struggled for time on the pitch last season after making his debut against Middlesbrough aged 17 years and 117 days in August 2016.
Now 18, he is hoping his performances will earn him more first-team starts.
He said: “I would be really happy to start, but it is not my decision. That is the manager’s decision.
