NEIL Taylor believes Aston Villa have proved they are promotion candidates by grinding out results without some of their best players.
The 28-year-old leftback, who won promotion from the Championship in 2011 with Swansea, believes their strength in depth means they can survive when key players are missing.
Regular starters, John Terry, Jonathan Kodjia, and Mile Jedinak are all suffering long-term injuries.
Taylor said: “The main thing is that we’ve got a 25- man squad full of individuals who can step straight into this team.”
