WIGAN boasted a formidable unbeaten league record at home this season, so it was no mean feat by Bradford to snatch it away at the death.
Aside from Tyrell Robinson’s late heroics, Charlie Wyke gave an all-round display which showed why the Bantams splashed the cash for him back in January, and his goals will be key to their promotion bid.
For the Latics, they will need to bounce back from the late disappointment.
Paul Cook possesses a squad which is still more than capable of topping the table come the end of May as they seek an immediate return to the second tier.
