CHARLIE MULGREW has praised fellow centre-back Paul Downing after building a formidable partnership.
Blackburn had conceded fewest goals in the EFL going into yesterday’s contest with Bury and the Scottish international, 31, has revelled in his time alongside the former West Brom centre-half.
He said: “The manager has obviously had him before at West Brom and he has shown good qualities.
“We have picked up a few clean sheets as well but the whole team takes credit for that.”
