LUTON came into the match having scored more league goals than any other team in the top four divisions while Coventry arrived with the best defensive record in the league, conceding just eight.
Match Verdict
Ultimately, it was the sterner of the defences who ended up deserved winners. Luton’s threat came mainly from Olly Lee and Danny Hylton, but despite their work up front, the end product was lacking.
They came across a Coventry side who after taking the lead were happy to stick men behind the ball and focus on Jodi Jones’s pace to counter and create chances.
