WIGAN coach Anthony Barry says the new League One leaders are happy to be a ‘boring cliché’ after a late rally saw off 10-man Southend United.
An early goal from Michael Jacobs put the Latics ahead but the game wasn’t killed off until the last six minutes, with strikes from Nick Powell and Ivan Toney after Jermaine McGlashan was dismissed.
