IT’S FA Cup fourth qualifying round day. I’m playing for the genius of Barry Fry at Barnet. And we’ve got a tricky away tie to overcome.
Just before we went out, I did my little bit for the team and mentioned it was our ‘first step to Wembley boys – let’s get it done’.
Baz shut me right up: ‘Is he f***ing sure? Wembley market maybe.’
We took the smile Baz gave us onto the pitch, smashed our way into the first round and, although I scored in our win, I don’t ever remember mentioning that old stadium again.
