WHITES TO BUY PETER’S MEDALS

LEEDS United are pulling out all the stops to keep memorabilia of club legend Peter Lorimer in house.
Lorimer, 70, is Leeds’ alltime top scorer, scoring 238 goals in 701 appearances, in two spells with the club. The items are due to go up for auction on November 24.
Leeds plan to purchase the items, which have been valued at around £24,000, and display them at Elland Road as part of their centenary celebrations. The club was founded in 1919 following the disbanding of Leeds City FC.
