INJURIES can often be a mental challenge as much as a physical one – and it’s a test that is all too familiar to Preston’s Calum Woods.
Last season was a complete write-off for the 30-year-old defender after damaging both the medial and cruciate ligaments in his right knee in a preseason match at Oldham.
Woods made his first start since the final day of the 2015-16 season last weekend as the Lilywhites beat Birmingham 3-1 at St Andrews.
